LPC | Licensed Professional Counseling

Taking the first step to engaging in counseling is a brave and vulnerable journey. For whatever reason you are looking for counseling for yourself or a loved one, my focus is to listen in a nonjudgmental manner and travel with you and your goals. I walk alongside my clients to identify goals and symptoms or obstacles that may be in the way of their goals. To do that I believe in forming a strong therapeutic alliance first.

I am a firm believer in a family systems model as well and the whole family is part of the equation. So often with the client’s permission, I will have various members of the family involved in counseling.

I aim to build up clients’ communication skills to articulate to themselves and others through in-depth self-exploration. Through clients beginning to know their thoughts, patterns, and behavior one can begin to help make changes in directions so that one can become healthier. Mainly utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work on the above.

In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids, reading, and traveling.

I am a licensed professional counselor and received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.  My areas of expertise are:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self-esteem
  • Self-harm
  • Couples/Marriage
