“I’m a therapist because I firmly believe, we all have a story &/or journey we have embarked on. However, I also believe there are not enough safe places we can go to be ourselves without judgment and to be accepted without conditions.”
Jules received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lakeland College and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Family Studies from Silver Lake College. She enjoys working with children, beginning at age 5, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Jules believes that no matter the age of her client, the therapeutic relationship is the key to successful counseling. To accomplish this, she provides a relaxed, trusting, safe, and non-judgmental environment for her clients.
Jules believes that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT skills, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy to empower and guide her clients to reach their goals, improve their interpersonal relationships, as well as, their overall well-being.
Jules also has a passion for foster and adopted children and their families. Often these children have issues with attachment (known as RAD) due to removal from their primary caregiver; Jules assists these children and families with re-wiring the brain and forming attachments through Narrative Therapy. In addition, she enjoys working with individuals, couples, and those struggling to co-parent.
Jules lives in the Green Bay area, is married, is the parent of four daughters and a stepson, and is a “Nana” to three grandchildren. In her spare time, Jules enjoys spending time with her family, going to movies, camping, being surrounded by nature, and training the family’s puppy to be a Therapy Dog.
