About Our

Anxiety Therapy Services

Anxiety is a common reaction to the stressors we all face in life. Real or imagined threats to our wellbeing or safety may lead us to become frightened, anxious, or worried. These stressors may cause us to worry incessantly until the threat passes. For an individual that is battling anxiety those worries may never pass and never subside. For some individuals a specific event or “trigger” may cause increased anxiety. Triggers can include; divorce, financial difficulties, life changes/transitions, or a reminder of a traumatic experience in the past. For others the source of anxiety or uneasiness comes from may be less obvious, however, the stress doesn’t seem to subside.

Approximately 18 percent of American adults struggle with anxiety and it can result in the inability to focus on daily tasks. When we look at the demographic of 13-18 year olds this percentage increases to around 25 percent.
